Jeffrey Epstein’s month started badly. It’s only gotten worse from there. And his next court date Wednesday, the last day of July, isn’t likely to bring any good news.

Epstein, 66, the accused pedophile and super-rich money manager who once counted as friends former President Bill Clinton and President Donald Trump, is expected to appear at 11 a.m. ET in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.

His lawyers and prosecutors are set to recommend to Judge Richard Berman a schedule for the case to address the biggest hurdles in Epstein’s criminal case on child sex trafficking charges.

Berman asked the two sides to meet prior to the Wednesday morning conference to hash out an agreeable date for Epstein’s trial, and to “devise a mutually acceptable schedule” for the evidence-gathering and exclusion processes.

But some legal minds also suspect the defense lawyers will press the judge about Epstein’s detention in federal lockup, where he was recently put on suicide watch after being found injured in his jail cell with marks on his neck.

Former federal prosecutor Michael Weinstein told CNBC that he anticipates Epstein’s lawyers will urge Berman to reconsider his decision to deny Epstein bail.

They might argue that “you need to let him out of jail because he’s not suited to be there, he’s threatened there” and, as an accused child abuser, is on the “lowest rung of all the criminals” in the prison hierarchy, Weinstein said.

A newly surfaced video reveals Trump happily partying in November of that year at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida with Epstein, a wealthy financier who since then has become both a registered sex offender and an accused child sex trafficker.

The video, from NBC’s archives, also shows Trump matter-of-factly grabbing from behind the waist of a young woman, pulling her back into him — and then casually tapping her bottom with his right hand.

Elsewhere on the same video, Trump beams as he is surrounded by and dances with other young women.

And when he stands with Epstein checking out the dance floor of the shindig at the Palm Beach estate, Trump is seen gesturing toward a woman and appears to say to Epstein: “Look at her, back there … she’s hot.”

Epstein smiles and nods in response, the tape shows.

At the time, the real estate developer and casino owner Trump was newly divorced from his first wife, Ivanka, and a year away from wedding his second wife, Marla Maples.

Follow Jeffrey Epstein's money: Accused child sex trafficker has $56.4 million cash, even more in hedge funds, real estate, stocks

Jeffrey Epstein attends Launch of RADAR MAGAZINE at Hotel QT on May 18, 2005.

Jeffrey Epstein has a ton of cash on hand — but the accused child sex trafficker has even more more money tied up in hedge funds, private equity plays and real estate, a newly unsealed court document reveals.

The document, filed by Epstein’s criminal defense lawyers and unsealed Monday, shows that the financier and registered sex offender is worth an estimated $559,120,954.

The filing was made last week as Epstein, 66, seeks release on bail following charges that he trafficked underage girls so they could visit his Manhattan and Palm Beach, Florida, mansions, where he allegedly sexually abused them.

Some of the dozens of girls that Epstein is accused of exploiting from 2002 to 2005 were as young as 14 years old, according to prosecutors. Those prosecutors, who want to keep him locked up pending trial without bail, have slammed the financial disclosure by Epstein for lacking details.

“His token effort to account for his finances makes painfully clear the need for detention,” prosecutors wrote in a filing to the judge arguing that Epstein should be locked up pending trial.

Epstein, a former friend of presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, has pleaded not guilty. He pleaded guilty in 2008 to a Florida state charge of procuring an underage girl for prostitution, and served a 13-month jail term.

Judge Richard Berman on Monday said he would rule on whether to grant bail in the case on Thursday, and ordered Epstein’s assets disclosure unsealed.

Epstein’s lawyer told Berman he was authorized to consent to a bail package with strict conditions in the amount of up to $100 million.

A big chunk of Epstein’s assets, roughly $195 million worth, is in hedge fund investments and private equity, according to the financial disclosure in Manhattan federal court.

Another $112.7 million of assets comes in the form of equities. Epstein listed just $14.3 million from fixed income securities.

More than $179 million in stated assets comes from real estate, including Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands — Little St. James — which is valued at $63 million.

That island has been derisively nicknamed “Pedophile Island” by locals.

Another island owned by Epstein in the Virgin Islands, Great St. James, is valued at almost $22.5 million.

Epstein’s defense lawyers value his Upper East Side townhouse in Manhattan at $55.9 million, citing his Jan. 1 property tax bill. But they note that federal prosecutors have claimed that the residence is worth $77 million.

Rounding out the real estate portfolio is Epstein’s New Mexico ranch, his Palm Beach home and a residence in Paris, France.

Epstein was arrested July 6 at at New Jersey airport after flying there on a private plane from France.

WATCH: The public is entitled to know where Epstein’s assets are from, says NYT’s Jim Stewart

Trump says he’s ‘not a fan’ of Jeffrey Epstein — won’t explain ‘falling out’ with accused child sex trafficker

Trump says he's 'not a fan' of Jeffrey Epstein — won't explain 'falling out' with accused child sex trafficker

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said “I was “not a fan” of accused child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein — but repeatedly refused to reveal what led to a “falling out” that he now claims to have had with the wealthy financier about 15 years ago.

Trump’s comments came a day after Epstein, 66, appeared in New York federal court to face new charges that he sexually abused dozens of underage girls, some as young as 14, in his Manhattan and Florida mansions from 2002 to 2005.

Epstein has pleaded not guilty in the case, and is being held pending a detention hearing next week.

In 2002, Trump told New York magazine that at that time he had known Epstein for more than a decade and called him a “terrific guy” who is “a lot of fun to be with.”

“It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side,” Trump told the magazine at the time. “No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

Trump, during a photo opportunity in the Oval Office on Tuesday, told reporters that he had known Epstein “like everyone in Palm Beach,” Florida.

“He was a fixture in Palm Beach,” Trump said of Epstein, who is also known for having been friends with former President Bill Clinton.

“I had a falling out a long time ago with him,” Trump said. “I don’t think I’ve spoken to him in 15 years.”

“I was not a fan of his,” Trump said.

Reporters asked Trump at least four times what caused the falling out, in particular if it stemmed from a criminal probe of Epstein in Florida in the mid-2000. But aides ushered them out of the Oval Office as Trump did not answer.

During the same photo opportunity, Trump said that he felt badly for his Labor secretary, Alex Acosta, who is facing increasing calls by Democrats to resign because of his role in a non-prosecution agreement that Epstein signed in 2008 with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami, which Acosta headed at the time.

Trump said that Acosta has done an excellent job as Labor secretary, and said Acosta would not have been the only person responsible for the deal with Epstein.

At the time of that deal, Epstein was being investigated both by state and federal authorities for conduct that is now the basis for the new prosecution by federal prosecutors in Manhattan.
